Adventures Girl About The Globe

“Baandho mat mujhe yun is Kadar, Udna hai mujhe.

Dekhna hai Jahan saraa. Saath nahi toh akele jaana hai mujhe.”

She began to do & feel as she liked,

Resolved never to take a step backward.

Everyone around started disliking her.

She wondered – are we really FREE?

When I, a small town girl, mentioned ‘Solo Travelling’, everyone around was aghast. Speeches & morality talks followed, essentially stating “Travel alone without your husband? What will people think? (“Char Log Kya Kahenge?”). Convincing them, herculean I must say!

People had questions - How can you enjoy alone? What about boredom? Don’t you miss company? The best, was an amusing judgement - ‘you are so self-obsessed’.

The naysayers whisper fear into our spirits & minds. They forget that the world needs dreamers & the rulebreakers, the fearless!

Just know this - it's possible. Dreams, desires, wishes, ambitions - they are attainable.

Be strong, go bold. Rebel to attain what sets your soul free.

Solo travelling doesn’t mean you are lonely, it means you enjoy yourself & your own company. It isn't solitary. One meets new people, potential friends, new homes & feeling of a family in strange lands.

One learns a lot, understands & explores, & witnesses with a heart open to possibilities. Eyes Open, Face Up, Hair Tied, Feet ready - to explore the blip of time our life is, the page in a book that we will never see the end of.

For me, travelling resurrects! It helps me to return as ‘a NEW me’ - ready to deal with the life’s challenges.

I believe MOKSHA is in loving yourself, reveling in your own company. It is a perennial, ecstatic feeling - & travelling my strongest love!

Every journey tells a story - your journey is only yours - tell yours proudly.

We are here to understand it, feel it, live it, celebrate it, and know it.

I am a wanderer, a lover, a chronicler of stories with bruises to show & memories to cherish.

Fearless, righteous and living Free!

What about you?
